One does not have to be a musician in order to be a successful Suzuki parent! At the outset of a child's lessons, a parent also attends several parent-training sessions to learn how to help the child to learn. It is important for parents to create a musical environment in the home and to make music a normal part of the child's life. A parent attends all of a young child's lessons (both individual and group) and actively coaches the child's practice at home.
